Oh No. It's a Gruffalo! In our Forest Schools session we were very creative and made transient artwork of the different characters from the story using natural materials. Can you guess which characters they are?
This week in our art and design lesson we took our learning outside and made fun animal clay faces. We will be writing instructions on how to make them soon so that you can follow them to make your own at home.
Fun Animal Clay Face Instructions.
Halloween Fun. We used measuring cylinders to measure small capacities and used measuring jugs to measure larger capacities. We had to read the scales carefully when mixing our potions.
Inspired by the leaves falling from the trees we had fun drawing different patterns in our leaves.
We have been busy drawing chalk Rangoli patterns to celebrate Diwali. What a fabulous display of colour! Well done Year 2's!
We had fun programing the Blue Bots, we rose to the challenge and practised moving in a straight line forwards and backwards, and distinguished between rotation as a turn for quarter, half and three-quarter turns (clockwise and anti-clockwise).
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Year 2. Here are some of the lovely things we have been doing.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
