Forest Schools

Forest School is a unique method of outdoor education that allows children to develop confidence, independence, self-esteem and awareness and knowledge of the natural environment.
At Bishopthorpe Infant School Forest School sessions take place in the school grounds which include a wildlife area and a range of established trees.
During the first Forest School session, children become involved with the setting and understanding of the Forest School rules. At the beginning of every session the rules are reinforced to ensure the children's safety.
