Midday Supervisory Assistants

Bishopthorpe Infant School is seeking to recruit Midday Supervisory Assistants for immediate start on a permanent contract.  We are an inclusive school and proud of the ethos and values shared by all staff, children, parents and governors.

 

Post: 11:55-13:10  Monday to Friday (5 days per week, term time only)

 

The successful candidate will be part of a hardworking and conscientious team and should enjoy working with children.  Experience of working in schools would be an advantage.

 

You will be required to assist and supervise pupils during the lunch break to maintain a positive and relaxed lunchtime experience.  You will also provide direction and supervision of activities in the playground to ensure that the whole lunchtime experience can be enjoyed in a safe and calm environment.

Admin Assistant

Bishopthorpe Infant School and Archbishop of York’s CE Junior School work together under the leadership of one Executive Headteacher and are part of South York Multi Academy Trust. Jointly they are committed to delivering the very best education possible to our pupils to give them a wonderful experience of their education and to equip them for their next steps.

We are currently recruiting an enthusiastic and efficient Administrative Assistant to support an established administrative team, working at our Bishopthorpe Infant School.

 

The key qualities we are looking for include:

 

  • Being an effective communicator through a variety of media
  • Having good attention to detail
  • Being able to prioritise work to meet different competing deadlines in an organised and efficient manner
  • Excellent admin and IT skills, with experience using a number of packages including excel, word,
  • Knowledge of using wider IT packages including for example Parentpay, Integris,on-line communication tools is advantageous but not essential.
  • Implement admin procedures from both the infants and junior settings to streamline processes and systems across both sites
  • The ability to use your initiative, make things happen and a confident decision maker
  • A first aider – full training will be given

Experience of working in the school environment using school systems is desirable but not essential. 

 

37 hours per week (8am to 4pm with 30 minutes break Monday to Thursday; 8am -3.30pm on Fridays with 30 minutes break)

Grade 4 Level 1-4 (£23,045 - £24,213, reduced pro-rata) 

 

Fixed term contract to 31st August 2025 in the first instance. Term time only contract
